Dive Planner App Reviews

Not good - freezes all the time

No help

Great

No diver can live without this app

Wicked

For anyone who dives this is a wickedly simple app and worth every penny!

Great idea - Bad data!

I just loaded this app. Great design but the info doesnt match my PADI Rec Diver Chart by far!!! I look forward to the corrected version, or to the refund. PS: why is this under Public service and not Sports - it took me for ever to locate it.

Pressure Groups wrong

The pressure groups indicated by this are just wrong.

Padi Tables

Those people who said the numbers dont match PADI... well they are probably not using the Padi tables. By default it uses the Navy Dive Tables which use a completely different set of pressure groups... but you can switch over to PADI numbers with the touch of a button - and those are perfect.

Enriched

Capability of switching between 21% throughout 40% nitrox would be a nice feature for the price of the app

Great app, but needs more.

This app is great for pre-dive planning and planning additional dives during your surface intervals. Its very easy to use. I, however live above 1000 and all of my dives are considered "altitude" dives. Hopefully this app will be updated with altitude tables so I can use this without having to still use my altitude tables and this app during pre-dive planning.

monkeys with guns

If monkeys can carry guns,,,,,,,then the under waters one should do just fine.

Good Start

This seems like a good start on this app, I would have to agree that it needs some work though. For starters I would like to see it add in high altatude tables and I think that the general controls of it could be modified a bit, when doing something like setting your surface time it is very easy to pass up the time your trying to get several times before you finally hit the right surface time. Also like some had mentioned the slider bars are kind of difficult to work with and wont always detect where you are toutching correctly making the app somewhate frustrating to use. Also incase anyone is wondering this works off of the RDP table rather than using ether the wheel which is a bit more accurate or calculating it manually. This app definatlly has a lot of potential but right now it seems a bit primitive I hope to see it get a lot more roubust over the next few updates

Nice Start!

This app is a great start, but needs some continued development. It needs a preference for which tables to use (PADI, NAUI, or NAVY.) As a Public Safety Diver (Search and Recovery) we use the NAVY tables, so it cant really serve its purpose for me. Also, altitude adjustment would be a good addition. Keep working on it! Thanks!

Dive Planner

This thing is great! It takes out the math and does it for you! Of course, you could do what I did and double check it. Go ahead, youll find that its right on the money! Good job guys and thanks for a very simple yet useful app!!!

Nice idea, look, layout but controls not responsive

Update: new version greatly improved in terms of usability. The hard to manipulate sliders have been replaced with dials so numbers are easier to set. But the slider that remains is still hard to set. Is it possible to allow numerical entry rather than touch sliders which dont seem to respond to touch? But at least now its moderately worth the money. I dont regret my purchase and appreciate the upgrade. I used it on my weekend dives yesterday. Still cant beat my computer but easier than using RDP. Older post: Ive been looking for this for a while and I would even pay for an upgrade but at this point it is virtually unusable since the controls (the sliders) are extremely unresponsive. They just dont slide easily. Just slide em down you would think. But not always. Touch and slide, nope. Double touch and slide, nope. Touch, wait and slide, nope. Touch the bar instead of the button, maybe. Touch the sweet spot and it slides. But where is the sweet spot? Ive tried micro touch, macro touch, gentle touch, normal touch, aggressive touch and only get a slide 10% of the time. Went to other programs like Zen Garden to see if it was my display or sheet protector but other program controls were normally responsive. i gave it two stars just because I love the idea and it would be one of my most used apps. But at this point it is unusable. But as soon as a new RELIABLY WORKING version is released, I will throw down another 3 bucks.

Divelog

Nice app but I havent updated because 1st versions were based on Padi tables. Please a divelog will be appreciated

update messed it up

This WAS the S***t, but sense the update it is all off now, and the pressure group is waaayy of from the original version.

Divemaster

All the pressure groups are wrong. This software could get someone killed!

Navy Dive Tables

Tables dont adhere to PADI or NAUI... seems to be Navy Dive Tables.

OLD MANUAL

While this is a good program it should be noted that this is NOT using the current US Navy Dive Manual decompression tables. This is probably going off of the old Rev. 5 manual which was replaced last april. For civilian diving this app works fine but dont be confused when it says it uses the Navys manual.

Simple and easy

I like the app! An update to include decompression stops and a chart to tell when you would b safe to fly would be GREAT!

idaho diver

i also would LOVE to see and altitude setting so it will compute for an altitude distance, live at 1,800, sometimes dive at 5,000 altitude in lakes, with search and rescue team thanks
